ABSTRACT

This study aims to explore effective curriculum design strategies for digital transformation in Chinese & Classical Chinese character education by analyzing cases of digital education implemented in departments of Sino-Korean Education and Chinese Language & Literature in Korea. While digital education presents new possibilities for humanities education, it can also act as a significant cognitive burden and barrier to entry for learners. Therefore, curriculum design must comprehensively consider learners' background knowledge, learning needs, and digital competencies, and focus on providing meaningful learning experiences that organically connect with learners' major fields beyond mere technical application. Based on these considerations, this study examines the characteristics, design principles, and practical operation methods of three courses: “The Understanding of Creative·Integrative Education” at D University's Department of Sino-Korean Education, and “A Study on Chinese Contemporary Characters” and “Chinese Character Studies” at Y University's Department of Chinese Language and Literature.
