China is a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural country, and each ethnic group has its own language family. The Han nationality occupies the first place in the list of ethnic groups, and the main language used by the Han nationality is Chinese. But even if they are Han Chinese, even if they live in the same area, there will be differences, which we call "dialects." The dialect of Chinese is very complicated, as far as Zhejiang Province is concerned, "five li different sounds, ten li different tones" can be seen, if they do not learn Mandarin, it is difficult to communicate with each other. "Brutal language" belongs to a kind of Zhejiang dialect, its production and evolution is through a long process of accumulation and formation, can be said to be the living fossils of the region. Through the investigation of barbaric words, people can learn about the characteristics of local socioculture, historical evolution and geographical environment, so that people can appreciate the unique charm of the local area. But with the development of the economy, the movement of the population, and the popularity of Mandarin, many dialects have slowly disappeared. In order to prevent this phenomenon, many specific dialects are protected. Among them, "barbaric language" has been included in one of the protected languages of the state. Has its development changed under such circumstances? This paper uses the method of social investigation to analyze the current situation of people's use of barbaric language, and on the basis of this, the future development trend of it is prospected.
