ABSTRACT

This study, grounded in narrative theory, systematically explores development pathways for cultural and creative products in Chinese local museums. As crucial carriers of regional culture, local museums hold the unique mission of showcasing local cultural characteristics and fostering cultural identity. In recent years, the cultural and creative industries of these museums have shown vigorous growth: product forms have become increasingly diverse, the integration of digital technologies has deepened, and market scale has continued to expand. However, despite this momentum, local museum cultural and creative products still face significant challenges, including low efficiency in transforming cultural resources, severe product homogenization, insufficient innovation capabilities, incomplete industrial chains, and underdeveloped management mechanisms. To address these issues and activate the cultural value embedded in local museums, this study proposes effective strategies to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of regional culture. Specifically, it offers strategic recommendations across three dimensions: content development, form innovation, and communication enhancement.
