ABSTRACT

Korea Land Corporation (KCL) and Korea National Housing Corporation (KNHC) have been established with different purposes respectively. In other words, KLC is moving ahead to undertake new national projects of the incumbent Participatory Government and achieve the national land vision of an integrated territory in the 21st century regarding them as its ultimate goal of management. At the same time, KLC has set the long-term vision of becoming “World Best Land Service Company” beloved by the nation and customers as the foundation of corporate management, and under the vision, the efforts to establish mid/long-term management strategies have been made. The purpose of KNHC is to improve public welfare and security of the lives of the people by constructing and providing the houses. Moreover, it also attempts to manage and improve the conditions of the old houses. Therefore, the two corporations should develop themselves by securing the specialities in their area and should contribute themselves for the security and development of the people. Because of the differences of their purposes and the nature and contents of their works, the attempt to integrate the two corporations forcefully is not desirable. This paper introduces the legal theory and statistics which are against the discussions on the integration of the two corporations and hopes that the two will further develop themselves on the basic of theirs specialities respectively.
