ABSTRACT

The Abe Statement in 2015 shows that internationalism is more visible than historical revisionism in the Abe Cabinet’s history policy. While historical revisionism emphasizes Japan’s traditions and unique values, internationalism upholds the significance of universal values in the world. The Abe Cabinet’s history policy never targets the Asian countries and their people, but only the US government. The transition of the Abe Cabinet’ s history policy toward internationalism in 2015 was an effective solution for the US government’s lack of confidence in Abe and his Cabinet around 2013.
