AB - 從事漢語詞匯史的最終目標是要勾勒出較爲詳細的漢語詞匯的演變發展史，幷在此基础上總結和揭示漢語詞匯演變發展的規律。目前漢語詞匯史硏究的重点應該放在漢語詞匯發展的詳細描寫上，這是硏究得以深入的前提和基础。就此而言，現今學術界過分熱衷于追求新方法的趨向有失偏頗。作爲漢語詞匯史硏究的一个有机組成部分，東漢佛經詞匯硏究唯有納入漢語詞匯史硏究的架构之中，才能眞實而充分地反映其學術价値。要達成此目的，把佛經文獻与本土文獻的詞匯緊密結合起來硏究，是最佳途徑。對佛經文獻詞匯進行“就事論事”式的硏究，雖然不能說沒有學術价値，但多少會給人以游离于漢語詞匯史硏究的感覺。實際的詞語考釋例証可以充分說明，把兩种文獻的詞匯結合起來硏究，能更好地糾正前人對詞語的誤釋、更准确地發現詞語的新義、更完整地看淸詞義演變的軌迹和成詞理据。
