ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of volunteer activities connected with child education major students on career consciousness and job‐seeking stress of job‐seeking students, and to make it possible to use as a basic data for establishing a guidance plan that could improve career consciousness and reduce job‐seeking stress. On the subjects of 32 students who attended N University majoring in child education located in G city, this study conducted volunteer activities connected with child education major students for a total of 72 hours, 6 hours a week for 12 weeks between October 1, 2018 and December 28, 2018. Through pre‐test and post‐test before and after performing volunteer activities connected with child education major students, the data were collected and analyzed using the corresponding sample t‐test. In the results of this study, first, found that volunteer activities connected with child education major students showed a positive effect on increasing the career consciousness of job‐seeking students. Second, volunteer activities connected with child education major students showed a positive effect on reducing the job‐seeking stress of job‐seeking students.
