ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated program cultivating creativity and emotion that fosters creativity and emotional intelligence of elementary school students to develop their emotional expression, cooperative ability and interactive ability. The contents of the class consisted of a total of 10 sessions, and the class time for each session was set at 40 minutes, the same as the elementary school curriculum. In this program, three elementary school teachers and two researchers with doctoral creativity developed program contents that match the developmental level and curriculum contents of upper elementary school students along with previous research. After verifying the validity of the content, the determination was that it was appropriate for two upper elementary school homeroom teachers to complete the creative and emotional integration program. This program utilized divergent thinking techniques such as mind maps and brainstorming to develop creative thinking and creative personality factors for creativity development. Emotional intelligence education factors include understanding self and others, self-expression, emotion regulation, respect and cooperative elements.
