AB - The purpose of this paper is to analyze the creative method of the highly popular webtoon Hyangdandion to report successful cases of classical literature content that is noteworthy in the digital media era, and to consider using classical literature as digital media content in the region.
To this end, we first looked at how Chunhyangjeon was trans formed in Hyangdandion.
Next, it was examined that Hyangdandion realized the inter textuality of classical narratives by using various classical narratives.
Finally, it was revealed that Hyangdandion was serialized in the form of a feature through major platforms, increasing readers’ accessibility even though it was a local brand webtoon, providing enough fun to keep up with ordinary webtoons, and gaining popularity among the public.
