A research for Havruta applying‘HYO’education on the Nuri Curriculum

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to provide “Hyo” education using Havruta on the communication area of the Nuri curriculum. Though the Nuri curriculum has been implemented to the kindergartens and the childcare centers from 2013, it has been criticized that its standardized education was not fit for bringing up talented persons to future society. To improve the weakness associated with the current Nuri curriculum, the Havruta education which is an efficient method to acquire flexible thoughts by questioning and answering, is required as an alternative. Since “The revised education curriculum 2015” was implemented by MOE, the Havruta lessons in the student activities has been spreaded fast in the elementary and the high schools. This research provided the communication area of the Nuri curriculum with the Havruta course adopting the traditional fairy tales for communicating between teacher and children as a “Hyo” education. Further related research applicable for other areas of the Nuri curriculum is needed to improve the weakness associated with the current courses.
