The purpose of this study was to criticize (through available documents) the school choice system with four dimensions. In other words, this study focused to criticize the school choice system with social justice dimension, educational law dimension, public education dimension, and educational practical dimension.
This study indicates that first, the school choice system run counter to the social justice spirit because of the school choice system makes the gap of social class bigger and educational polarization. Second, the school choice system run counter to the educational law because of the school choice system was determined as illegal by a precedent. Third, the school choice system run counter to the public education because of the school choice system makes worse educational inequality and neglect the nation's educational finance responsibility. And fourth, the school choice system run counter to the educational practice because of the school choice system has not supported by research result.
We do not need a vast and experimental revolution, school choice system in education based on unproved reasoning. But, instead, we need small changes which solve school problems step by step. We have to consider educational equality. And we have to watch carefully the school choice system is not a panacea.
