A Qualitative Study on Chinese Corporate Cultures and Leaderships

ABSTRACT

First, it shows that there are positive relationships between Benevolent leadership and group culture, between Virtuous leadership and group culture or hierarchical culture, between Authoritative leadership and hierarchical culture or rational culture, between Transformational leadership and development culture. Second, it was shown that there are positive relationships between Confucianism and group culture, between Taoism and development culture. Third, it shows that there are positive relationships between Confucianism and three kinds of Leadership styles: Benevolent leadership, Virtuous leadership, and Authoritative leadership,. Taoism and Transformational leadership are also shown to have positive relationships. Fourth, while socialism value has positive effects on group culture, market value has positive effects on rational culture and development culture. In comparison, growth-oriented value has positive effects on development culture. Fifth, this study presents the relationships among Traditional legacy, Social Climate, Leadership Styles and Corporate Cultures. It will be meaningful to establish world citizenship and expand responsibilities as global citizens based upon wide minded nationalism.
