A Qualitative Case Study of School Life Experience of University Students with Disabilities : Focused on K University in Chungbuk

ABSTRACT

This study is aimed for understanding and analyzing various issues which university students with disabilities has experienced through their school life. To accomplish this aim, the researcher has collected data through various methods such as in-depth interviews on university students with disabilities and analyzed through qualitative case study methods. The researcher carried out the analysis within the case and the analysis between the cases with the data collected from seven university students with disabilities who are in attendance at K University. As a result, the four subjects were grouped as follows: 'wounds of the past', 'new experiences', 'university and community support', 'appearance changed'. Based on the results of this study, the researcher suggested implications for supporting successful lives of university students with disabilities, and put forward an opinion on the following study needed for obtaining richer information in this area.
