Pain is an inevitable existential problem for all human beings. If humans are created in the image of God and God governs over all creation, the problem of human pain is incomprehensible apart from God's providence and His redemptive history. Modern discourses on pain, however, are mostly formed without the consideration of God’s existence and providence. Therefore, it is a meaningful project to explore the modern discourses of pain from a biblical point of view and present a biblical alternative. This paper argues that Modern discourses of pain entail meaninglessness, avoidance, personalization, comparison, and spiritualization of it. People today are gradually losing the meaning of pain, and the loss of its meaning makes them lean to avoiding or deleting the experience of pain from their personal lives. Pain is getting considered an individual problem, so it weakens the public responsibility of taking care of the problem of pain in a sociocultural level. The personalized pain, in turn, brings about pain comparison with other people’s pain. There is also an approach to radically spiritualize the experience of pain, losing the earthiness of it. Such discourses have a limitation in the lack of a holistic understanding of human beings, and therefore fail to see its narrative and meaning in God's providence and His drama. A follow-up study of a biblical discourse of pain and its practical implications for soul care is suggested.

The purpose of this study is to develop the Jealousy Delusion Scale and to verify its reliability and validity. For this, previous studies were reviewed, and related questions were collected from 103 people who passed the screening process in interviews and online. A preliminary survey was conducted on 208 people, assuming five factors with 61 items selected by experts' content analysis. As a result of the preliminary survey, 52 items of four factors were extracted, and finally, this survey was conducted on 459 adult men and women to complete the jealousy delusional scale of 50 questions. SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 25.0 are used for this analysis. As a result of exploratory factor analysis, the four factors were identified as editing, feeling of inferiority, abuse, and anxiety. Confirmatory factor analysis, convergent validity, and discriminant validity were performed and validity was verified. The delusion scale of the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI), the Paranoid Scale (PS), the projection scale of the Ewha Diagnostic Test, and the psychological diagram were used for the criterion-related validity analysis. As a result of conducting a correlation analysis between the total score of the jealousy delusion scale and the sub-factors and the reference variable, the validity of the criteria was verified to be acceptable. Finally, the implication and limitations of the scale and the necessity of follow-up studies were discussed.

The purpose of this research is to help counselor and counselee reflect their thought and behavior and change their personality through researching human’s behavior and thought. The suicide rate of South Korea is the highest level in the world and the Bible emphasizes that the life of a person is as valuable as the whole world. In this viewpoint the deep study of human's acting and thinking is very meaningful and necessary. The theme of this study is not merely Lewin’s behavior but also researcher’s thought equation in the viewpoint that human being is the being of thinking and acting. The method of this research book references and thinking experiment. Thinking experiment is the experiment that proceeds only thinking in one’s brain. The limitation of this study is difficult for researcher to obviously research and solve thought equation like mathematics equation because thought of human being is not visible. However, main elements of influencing human being’s thought and checklist of thought and circular chart of thought can be used by data which can check one’s thought. The originality of this research is to try progress concerning human being’s thought by introducing the issue of thought equation after researcher obtained a kind of insight through Lewin’s behavior equation. The value of this study is to stimulate to counselor or counselee so that they seek more useful and meaningful life by reflecting their thoughts and deeds.
