AB - Music therapy or activities is effective process to prompt development of autistic children. Most of autistic children are interested in music and many reports point that music treatment improved the physical exercise ability, the speech function and the sociality of autistic children. This study is to show that the effect of music treatment to decrease autistic tendency and to develop sociality and language ability. The subject was 2 child who were evaluated as an autistic children through autism behavior checklist. 2 children was 4;1 and 4;4 respectively, attended to nursery for handicapped children. Music treatment was executed 15 weeks, 3 sessions per week, forty minutes for each time. We used Autism Behavior Checklist and KISE Developmental Scale at pre and post treatment. We applied music treatment activity was composed physical movement, singing and instrumental playing through imitation and rhythmical playing(Shin, 1999). As the results of this study, musical treatment was effective to decrease of autistic tendency and to development sociality and language ability of autistic children.
