ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of application video clip on students with hearing impairment of sentence understanding, expressing, a postpositional word and the predicate. The subjects of this study were 4 hearing impaired students of the special school for the hearing impaired in G city. The method of this study was providing the video clip which had been photographed, added captions, produced and edited. And I selected and used the 100 sentences from the text of the elementary school. The results of this study were as below. First, the result of the test which appears in K-NSST, materials to know, was effective on reading abilities. Even though we have a difficult situation to analyze the reading abilities of the one student, the reading and writing abilities was improved a little. Three students of the four couldn't write a grammatically right sentence in post-test. But after the program the result shows us the improvement. Second, video clip program was effective on using a postpositional word and the predicate. We can see a little improved scores of the writing abilities as 0→3, 2→7, 0→2, 37→40.
