ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to synthesize research trends on the cognitive-behavioral intervention strategies in education for developmental disorders. For this, 22 studies that were published with important journal articles or studies in special education and related areas from 1996 to 2006 in Korea were reviewed. A total of 22 articles or studies were analyzed in term of research topics, subjects, intervention strategies, results and effects. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, the research topic areas most referred were behaviors, learning and strategies. Second, the research subjects and participants most referred were infants and preschoolers were less included than school-aged students. Third, the most used intervention strategies was cognitive-restructuring(CR) than anything else(CS, PS). Future study trends would be discussed about that based on the result, descriptive research analysis about the cognitive-behavioral intervention strategies in education for developmental disorders.
