ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the multicultural teaching program on the children’s perception and attitude toward children with disabilities. The subjects were 58, 6th grade elementary school in Ulsan. They were assigned to an experimental or control group with 29 children in each group. The multicultural teaching program was developed and applied to the experimental group for 6 weeks. The results of this study were as follows: First, the application of the multicultural teaching program showed significant influence on the experimental group’s perception toward children with disabilities. Second, the application of the multicultural teaching program showed significant influence on the experimental group’s attitude toward children with disabilities.
