ABSTRACT

This study looked into the application of the program for utilizing of schedules influencing special education teachers(SETs) and special education assistants(SEAs)’ role awareness and job satisfaction regarding common activities of the teaching activity process. The objects of this study are 3 SETs and 3 SEAs. Schedules of this study consist of a total of 2 parts: one is composed of an education program with 5 sections about the roles of 3 SETs and 3 SEAs. The other is made up of a basic form and a usage method of schedules. This study was performed for 7 weeks, 5 times a week. The process of data conducted pre-post tests between two groups. The results are as follows. First, the attitudes of all SETs and SEAs about their roles and job satisfactions were changed positively after utilizing of schedules. Second, the attitudes of all SETs and SEAs about mutual roles and job performances also made affirmative change after utilizing of schedules. In particular, special education teachers(SETs) showed higher improvement in intrinsic job satisfaction while special education assistants(SEAs) in extrinsic job satisfaction.
