ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to check with deep interview about the financial literacy through the case study for independent living of the Deaf as the disabled of independent living is switched to the center of consumer viewpoint to respect the right of self-determination. In terms of the Deaf, in order to observe they control life with reasonable choice and decision-making to exert the leading rights to decide, I chose eight Deaf participants and three sign language interpreters with abundant field experience. As a result, five categories, namely, barrier of economic activity, feeling of loneliness for career, family members with limited communication, access form for financial literacy of Deaf society, the solution process for independent living problems and damage case, sign language interpretation service for problems of independent living, eleven sub categories, forty six sense units were drawn. I tried to comprehend various environmental condition, due to the problem happening among those concerned by observing independent living process of the study participants.
