ABSTRACT

Today, inclusive education has been carried out at many middle schools in our country. But it has took issue with the necessity of qualitative progress on inclusive education. Thus, the purpose of the present study was to analyze qualitatively perception and the actual condition, needs of students with disabilities and related persons in general middle school. Participants for this research are 4 students with disabilities who are in two general middle schools in Seoul, 2 parent who are mother of 2 students with disabilities, 4 students without disabilities who are in corresponding classes, and 7 science teachers. Through in-depth interviews, qualitative data were collected and analyzed using the constant comparative method. As a result, under 3 themes including the diversity of perception about the necessity of inclusive science instruction and science education and type of science class, the actual condition of inclusive science instruction, the needs of qualitative progress on inclusive education, 9 sub-themes were drawn. And it is confirmed there are many difficulties on inclusive science instruction, aspecting of environmentsㆍteacherㆍstudents.
