ABSTRACT

[Purpose] The purpose of this study that is analyze to current curriculum for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities and expand the knowledge concerning curriculum implementation of schools for the blind in South Korea. [Method] The descriptive data was collected from the annual plan, public information, and web site of thirteen schools for the Blind. Also, curriculum implementation for students with multiple disabilities and visual impairment by analyzing annual plan of schools for the blind. [Result & Conclusion] First, the number of students with multiple disabilities and visual impairment are currently 288 of 1,220, total number of students with visual impairment, There were the largest number of students with multiple disabilities and visual impairment places in elementary courses, and followed by vocational course, high schools, middle schools, and preschools. Second, the number of curriculum for elementary students with multiple disabilities and visual impairment in schools for the blind are were the largest, and followed by middle school, high school, vocational course, and preschool. 6 schools for the blind are implementing school-based curriculum for students with multiple disabilities and visual impairment, and they divided the curriculum into 5 categories. Based on the results of the study, implication for study are suggested.
