ABSTRACT

[Purpose] The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of disability awareness education using Flipped Learning upon the acceptance of those students with disabilities by middle school class students without disability. Since disability awareness education we used to provide was somewhat teacher-driven. It had no effect on the durability and the spontaneity of students without disabilities. So using Flipped Learning method on disability awareness education to middle school students without disability might learn positive disability awareness and attitudes towards students with disabilities. [Method] For these purpose, 59 students without disability in 2 classes of I middle school students were selected. Flipped Learning was only used to Experimental group and the results were measured by questionnaires. [Results] SPSS ver. 12 was used and the results were as follows. The positive disability awareness of students in experimental group increased twice than that of before. Also, the positive disability acceptance attitude of students in experimental group increased. [Conclusion] In conclusion, using Flipped Learning on disability awareness education is effective therefore future research will be expected and the contents of flipped Learning should be more fully developed.
