AB - This paper analyses the trends in library and information science curriculum in North America, in order to address the characteristics of the subject modules in LIS education institutions in advanced countries. The research is based on the related literature review and the analysis of universities' webpages. The analysis includes a comparison between GSLI and SIS, the curriculum and subject operations of Library and Information science courses, the number and kinds of core and optional modules and subjects.
