AB - A cultural assets APP employing the augmented reality technology helps a user to experience a realistic and accurate information efficiently. To implement the experience APP of cultural assets based on this concept, this paper surveys the latest location-based augmented reality (AR) applications (APPs) and plays them directly at Gyeongbokgung. This paper tests eight kinds of APPs for the performance benchmark and analyzes their user interfaces, instructions, searching and processing speed, and own strong points. Concludingly, this paper draws the key components for implementing a Gyeongbokgung experience APP.
