AB - Recently, computer vision system has being applied in face recognition, HCI(Human Computer Interface), context aware, and car system. Furthermore, as progress of car industry and technical, more and more systems have been developing for safety of drivers and passengers.
In this paper, for use in automotive safety systems that can recognize the user's eyes state is proposed methods. Face area receives image date and the eyes area is divided. And, in order to extract the eyes image areas using haar-like feature adaboost algorithm is used. Wavelet neural network to recognize eyes states (normal, wearily, sleepy) have been used and demonstrated its effectiveness through experiments.
