This study attempted to provide basic data for cultural diversity education by exploring cultural diversity education in elementary school expression activities. For this purpose, the contents of the activities of the physical education textbooks and tutorials of the third and fifth grade based on the 2015 revised curriculum were analyzed from the perspective of cultural diversity. As for research contents, this study discussed the concept of cultural diversity education, 2015 revised physical education curriculum and cultural diversity, and cultural diversity education of expression activities. The fundamental orientation of the 2015 revised physical education curriculum and the elements of cultural diversity in teaching learning content of textbooks and tutorials were to cultivate cultural diversity competencies in terms of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral perspectives. In other words, democratic citizenship could be achieved by recognizing that various thoughts and expressions were the core elements of creation, which was to cultivate the cultural competencies to enable cultural exchange and communication among individuals, groups, societies and national communities.
