ABSTRACT

This study, utilizes Colaizzi’s phenomenological research method and, investigates P.E. teachers’experiences with expressive activities to revitalize school dance education. Research shows that teachersperceive expressive activities to encompass various forms beyond dance recognizing its significance forholistic student development. Challenges include teachers' lack of confidence and expertise, inadequateeducational support, and difficulties engaging students. The recommendations stress the need for targetedteacher training programs to address these challenges and effectively integrate expressive activities intothe curriculum. This requires providing opportunities for teachers to develop confidence and competencein teaching expressive activities, and fostering a deeper understanding of the pefagogical aspects of danceeducation. Overall, educational institutions need to adopt innovative approaches to teacher education, emphasizing the importance of expressive activities within the high school curriculum.
