Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of this regulation is to stipulate matters concerning the editing and publication of the Association's journal in order to appropriately carry out the Association's business as stipulated in Article 4, Paragraph 2 of the Articles of Incorporation.

 

Article 2 (Name of journal)


The Journal of Youth Activity is published as the academic journal of this society.

 

Article 3 (Editorial Board)

To carry out the work of editing and publishing the journal, the Journal Editorial Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board) is established.

 

Article 4 (Composition of the Board)


The composition of the Board is composed of no more than 9 members by appointing the editor-in-chief by the board of directors, and the appointed editor-in-chief recommends the members to the president. However, the composition of editorial members should be distributed nationwide rather than being concentrated in a specific region, and should take into consideration research and writing performance, professionalism and activeness of academic activities, and the tenure is three years and can be reappointed.

 

Article 5 (Duties of the Board)

The duties of the Editorial Board are as follows.

1. Opening and closing of article review regulations

2. Selection and appointment of article reviewers

3. Final decision on whether to publish

4. Matters concerning the editorial system and form

5. Matters concerning the color and design of the cover

6. Matters concerning article publication fee, review fee, and setting of excess cost for oversized article

7. Other matters related to review and editing

 

Article 6 (Requirements for publication of articles)

This journal must be an article of a member whose originality is recognized as the result of research related to youth activities. Publications published through the academic conference, seminar, forum, etc. of this association can be published through review.

 

Article 7 (The number of publications and the date of publications)

In principle, this journal is published quarterly (March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31) four times a year.

 

Article 8 (Types of Publication Articles) The articles to be published in this journal are classified into academic articles and field articles.

 

Article 9 (Article Submission by the Editor-in-Chief)

The editor-in-chief of this Association may submit articles to this journal during his/her tenure (revised on December 22, 2020)

 

Article 10 (Eligibility for Submission) A person who wants to publish a general article in this journal must be a member of this Association when applying for an article publication. In the case of two or more co-authors, all co-authors must be members of the Association.

 

Article 11 (Submission method)

Members who wish to publish their articles in the journal must submit their manuscript to the Board in accordance with the prescribed guidelines for submitting manuscripts for publication in the journal. However, in principle, submitted manuscripts will not be returned. The subject of the article should be related to youth activities, and the length should, in principle, be less than 100 pages of 200-character manuscript paper. The manuscript must be accompanied by an abstract in Korean and English within 600 characters. Other detailed submission guidelines are set by the Editorial Board and must be published and advertised in every issue of the 'The Journal of Youth Activity' for publicity.

 

Article 12 (Review of the article)


(1) The review of the article is conducted in the process of primary and secondary review. The first review is conducted mainly by members of the editorial board, but the general topics that can be of interest in the youth activity area are given priority. Articles that are judged to be too out of scope for research on youth activities may be excluded from review with the approval of at least 2/3 of the editorial board.
 

(2) The second review is conducted with 3 reviewers for each article, but focuses on the articles that have passed the first review. The Editorial Board selects the reviewer who is suitable from among members with expertise in the relevant field, taking into account the subject and content of the submitted article.

(3) The board may propose or discuss with the author the correction of the submitted article.


Article 13 (Review Regulations)


Specific details on the review standards and whole procedures shall be separately determined.

 

Article 14 (Article Submission Deadline)

Manuscripts are accepted at any time. The deadline for the article subject to publication in the current issue is 45 days prior to the scheduled publication date. (However, express must be done 15 days before the deadline)

 

Article 15 (Review fee and Publication fee) Members who wish to publish an article must pay the review fee and publication fee to the Association. Among the articles that have passed the review, a publication fee of 300,000 won per article written with a research grant, 200,000 won per article written without a research grant, and 100,000 won for field articles must be paid.

Articles with more than 20 printed pages are subject to an additional charge of 10,000 won per page.

 

Article 16 (Others)

Matters not specified in this regulation shall be decided by the Board.


Addendum

Article 1 (Enforcement Date) This regulation shall come into effect from January 1, 2012.

Article 9 (Enforcement Date) Applies from the issue of Volume 5 No. 1 (Volume No. 8) in 2019.
