Review Process


 

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of this bylaw is to stipulate the detailed rules for the review of the “The Journal of Youth Activity” in accordance with Article 12 of the Journal Publication Regulations.


Article 2 (Review Criteria)

The review criteria for article to be published in the “The Journal of Youth Activity” are as follows.

1. Appropriateness of the subject (Appropriateness of this journal)

2. Research necessity and creativity

3. The validity of the research method and the thoroughness of previous studies

4. Contribution to academic development

5. Applicability to youth activities

6. Consistency of thesis and clarity of statements

 

Article 3 (Review Procedures)

 

1. The submitted manuscript is first reviewed by the Editorial Board. The results of the review are judged as one of

Pass Fail. 

2. The article of the primary reviewer is commissioned to review 3 scholars and field experts (doctoral degree) in the relevant field.

3. Judging decisions are made in the following three stages.

(1) Accepted : Article judged to be able to be published without modification, or article judged that the modified content is irrelevant to the core content such as expressions, vocabulary selections, presentation order, etc.

(2) Minor Revision : Article judged to be published after revision (Reflection of the reviewer's opinion)

(3) Major Revision : Article judged to have problems in the core content of the article

(4) Rejected : Article that is judged to have problems in the core content of the article and that a considerable period of time is required to rewrite the problematic sentences.

4. Based on the evaluation of the three reviewers, the final publication is decided as follows.

5. Article that has been evaluated “minor revision” must also faithfully fulfill the reviewer's request for correction.

6. Article that has been evaluated “major revision” cannot be published in this issue. Article that has been re-examined can be re-entry in the next issue.

7. Articles that have been judged as “Decision of the editorial board” are decided whether to be published in the issue according to the decision of the Editorial Board. Articles not published in the relevant issue may be re-applied in the next issue.

8. The decision of the editorial board may be made by voting via Internet e-mail.

 

Article 4 (Panel of Reviews)


In order to increase the responsibility of reviewers and the efficiency of the review, the Editorial Board will organize a panel of reviewers centered on those who have excellent article publishing accomplishments and quality of article among youth activity researchers, and are active in this association.
