ABSTRACT

This study investigates the influence of leadership patterns on empowerment and organizational commitment of workers in the hotel industry. As the results of this research, first, the transformational leadership has more positive influences on the organizational commitment of workers than the transactional leadership. Secondly, the transformational leadership also has more positive influences on the empowerment of workers than the transactional leadership. Finally, the transactional leadership has less influences on the organizational commitment than transformational leadership through giving the empowerment but authors have demonstrated that the transactional leadership has a greater influence on the direct organizational commitment of workers.
