AB - Although festivals have brought significant developments in tourism recently, research on festival studies has not been well developed. This research focused on developing a framework that could be used to analyze stakeholders who are involved in a local festival. The research developed five indicators for the conceptual framework in analyzing stakeholders after reviewing related literature: perspective, interest, power resources, involvement, and influence. The implications of the research might be summarized in terms of academic and practical dimensions. The former was to raise a question on stakeholder research in a local festival, which has been relatively neglected, and the latter was to suggest an exploratory framework in the analysis of stakeholders. Further research, such as case studies, on this topic must be conducted.
