ABSTRACT

Importance-Performance Analysis has been a widely accepted tool for improving product/service quality level. However, in spite of its usefulness, it has been criticized as having some limitations. Impact Range-Performance Analysis, suggested by Mikulić and Prebezac(2008), is regarded as a supplementary to IPA. The purpose of this research was to introduce IRPA and apply it to Gimhae City Tour to draw measures contributing to Gimhae City Tour users’ satisfaction levels. For this purpose, a self-administered questionnaire was developed and data was collected with Gimhae City Tour users from May 1, 2014 to August 31, 2014(120 days). A total of 395 questionnaires were used for data analysis. Major findings were, in case of Gimhae City Tour, only one attribute of “professional knowledge of culture interpreters” was shown to be assigned a high priority. On the other hand, such attributes as “cleanliness of city bus,” “outside views from the city tour bus,” “cleanliness of restaurants,” “overall tour time,” and “suitability of tour course” should grant high performance as they are. Theoretical and practical implications as well as future study directions were discussed.
