ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to examine whether the urban agriculture experts curriculum is appropriate for cultivating actual experts. In 2018, more than 60% of the course participants of the Daejeon Metropolitan Agricultural Technology Center were thinking that urban agriculture experts could communicate urban agricultural knowledge. The most frequently answered that the acquisition of the Urban Agricultural Manager's Certificate was a motivation for the course, and the Urban Agricultural Manager predicted that it would become a professional in the future. The curriculum of major cities such as Seoul was mainly composed of ① understanding of urban agriculture, ② law, ③ soil, ④ planning and cultivation of garden, ⑤ cultivation method and practice, ⑥ harvesting. It will develop into a way to jointly use public idle land, and it will industrialize it as a plant factory. The curriculum requires about the urban community and cooperative systems. In addition, programs such as urban agricultural space regeneration and resource circulation need to spread. Education programs on understanding and entrepreneurship of urban agriculture industry such as plant factories. Managing urban farms would be more important curriculum.
