ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to examine awareness types of college students without disabilities toward college students with disabilities through Q-method and find a way to vitalize inclusion in college. Data was collected from 76 students in six colleges in ‘B’ metropolitan city. Students were asked to rank the level of their agreement with the statements of college students with disabilities. And collected data were analyzed by a QUANL program. As a result, the awareness of the students toward college students with disabilities was categorized into four types. There were 'Type 1: Recognizing potential power', 'Type 2: Worrying about difficulties', 'Type 3: Focusing on the universality', and 'Type 4: Demanding paternal support'. This study provided an opportunity for the college students to look back on their beliefs in college students with disabilities, and suggested ways to support inclusive setting.
