ABSTRACT

[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to develop a survey tool for exploring the current status of career and vocational education of high school students with disabilities and their educational needs. [Method] A survey tool was developed in consideration of connectivity with the primary and secondary career education status survey, which is currently being conducted in the field of general education. The Delphi survey was conducted in two rounds with a total of 26 expertise with knowledge and experience of career and vocational education of students with disabilities. The suitability and importance of the component areas and preliminary items of the career and vocational education survey tool for students with disabilities were evaluated and finalized. [Results] The survey tool consist of 19 items(10 items and 9 sub-items) in 6 areas(‘career and vocational education/curriculum status', ‘career and vocational education experience activity program', ‘career and vocational education program(data)', ‘social participation', ‘career status', ‘awareness of career and vocational education’) and 7 sub-areas. [Conclusion] The implications for future career and vocational education for high school students with disabilities were discussed.
