ABSTRACT

[Purpose] `The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions and needs of the sw education participants(instructors, operating teachers and homeroom teachers) who teach and operate sw education(Hope School SW Class) for disabled students for effective sw education. [Method] A questionnaire survey was conducted on 182 sw education participants’through an online method. Response results were analyzed by frequency analysis, ANOVA and -tests. [Results] First, the perception of sw education participants’about pre-recognition of sw education for disabled students were generally high, the operation of sw education for disabled students was properly conducted and the participation of disabled students was also high. In addition, sw education for disabled students helped improve disabled students' creativity, problem-solving skills, and communication skills. Second, regarding the needs for sw education for disabled students, Unplugged and Physical Computing are needed in educational contents and consideration of the characteristics of disabled students are needed in educational method. [Conclusion] The perception of sw education participants’about recognition of sw education for disabled students were high and effective sw education for disabled students consideration of the characteristics of disabled students are needed. Based on sw education participants’ perceptions and needs, implications were suggested.
