ABSTRACT

Information literacy has been defined as “the ability to access, evaluate, and use information from a variety of sources." Recently, information literacy has become a hot topic in Korean education circles and school library fields, but few publications describe how to assess information literacy skills. This study is the first stage to develop a measurable assessment tool of the information literacy skills of korean high school students. In this paper, related projects, curricular models, and rubrics are reviewed and an assessment tool is suggested. This tool will be field-tested and revised on the results in the near future.
