AB - The Characteristic impedance of the tapered waveguide for the TEM horm antenna is analyzed. The optimum variation function for the characteristic impedance is introduced. the numerical and experimental investigations of the modified optimal taper is observed and calculated for the discontinuity of the impedance. According to the calculated results, the variation of the characteristic impedance for the antenna can be finded. The results show improved impedance value of the antenna and a wider range of frequencies.
