AB - We propose a grayscale presentation method adapted with the reflective type display which has more strong points than the most emissive type display at the fabrication cost, power consumption, and easy viewing. In this study we designe cell electrodes separated with 4 electrodes, fabricated the panel with multi-electrode mask, and estimate the driving properties in charged particle type display. The linear characteristics are ascertained by reflectivity measurement using RT-200, which is induced by exact arithmetic partition for cell electrode. The results of our study is applicable to the mass production of electronic paper, if this method is combined with the pulse width modulation which is used as a grayscale presentation in charged particle type electronic paper.
