ABSTRACT

“Artificial intelligence and information technology” is a key technical factor and power driving the fourth industrial revolution, and it is becoming very important as universal technology that is easy to apply to all industries. In the US and Germany, various policies and projects have already been implemented at the government level to research and disseminate intelligent information technology. In line with Korean government policy, this study aims to identify strategies for early introduction of artificial intelligence and information technology in the public service sector and to develop strategies for the government to continue to spread intelligent information technology to the private sector. In order to investigate cases of domestic and foreign intelligent information technology adoption, public service sectors were classified and cases were surveyed focusing on seven public service areas: disaster safety, environmental weather, public administration, traffic transportation, police security, health care, and social welfare. We have focused on the cases that have been applied or tried in the last 3 years and tried to reflect the trend of the times as much as possible and we surveyed about 260 domestic and overseas cases. Based on this, 10 ways to introduce intelligent information technology in public service area are suggested.
