ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of anger control group counseling program on anger control of school maladjusted adolescents who experienced difficulties in anger control.,For the verification of the study, the results of the student emotional behavior development test among the first and second grade students in middle school in Eunpyeong-gu were selected as the subjects of the study. Among the school maladjusted adolescents who experienced difficulties in anger control due to observation of high-risk students and teachers, six students who agreed to participate in the study were selected. Narrative research method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used to see the change of the in-depth inner side of the school life and life of the subjects in the process of group counseling program.,In the group counseling program, school maladjusted adolescents reduced anger expression and showed the structure of anger control and emotion expression method for themselves through the meaning of anger. This study described five stages of emotion recognition, feeling awareness, understanding anger experience, irrational thinking, and delivery. As a result of this study, it was found that participation of group counseling program to improve anger control was effective in anger control. Therefore, the results of this study can be used as basic data for developing anger control group counseling program.
