AB - The purpose of this study was to examine the early childhood teachers' perception about the future competency of global leaders. The data were collected from 100 early childhood teachers who were working in 4 kindergarten and 5 daycare centers in Seoul. The research problems were first, what is the general perception of future teachers of early childhood teachers? Second, what is the general perception of future education as a global leader of early childhood teachers? Third, the question of whether there is a difference in the future competence of the early childhood teachers? The results of this study were as follows: First, the early childhood teacher will be a convenient life for future society, but it is predicted that occupations such as production workers will be unstable, so it is important to secure jobs. Second, future competency will be important for success in the future society, so openness toward diversity, global network, and basic attitude ability are the most necessary competencies for global leaders. Third, personality and ethical attitude were the most important competencies in leadership education. In this way, early childhood teachers thought positively about the changes of future society, prepared for change through education, and had to be competent as global leaders.
