This study focused on the work, type, and acceptance pattern in order to reveal the role and meaning of 'women' in Gosijo. First, there are a total of 264 works based on 'women' in Gosijo, of which 167 are in Short Sijo and 97 are in Long Sijo. A total of 52 artists have accepted 'Women', and the number of works is 126.
Next, there are 12 major categories of 'women' accepted in the Gosijo, 83 middle categories, and 377 frequency. In addition, the types of 'women' that appeared in the Gosijo could be divided into 'unmarried women' and 'married women'. 'Unmarried women' could be divided into 'maid', 'gisaeng', and 'gungyeo', and 'married women' could be divided into 'Yangban women', 'gung women', and 'common women'. Next, the acceptance and role of "women" in the Gosijo were "existential female acceptance," "female acceptance of narrative," and "female acceptance of fiction." Finally, the role and meaning of "women" accepted in the Gosijo was that various types of women were accepted in the Gosijo, which played an important role in effectively expressing the development of the awards and theme consciousness, and "women" were recognized as meaningful in a male-centered society based on Confucianism in the Joseon Dynasty, through the Gosijo.
