ABSTRACT

Children with learning disabilities not only face academic challenges but also have difficulty meeting social expectations in the school, and also many life's other demands even in the community. However, the administrative definition of learning disabilities has limited the provision of social skill interventions and the school administrators and teachers have not interested in the social behaviors of children with learning disabilities. This paper covered the correlates of learning disablilties and social competence, improvement strategies of social competence of children with learning disabilities through literatures analysis. Further, the importance of social competence and some suggestion for future intervention were provided.
