ABSTRACT

This study is about development of‘Venture Star’a program to cultivate young entrepreneurship and their business startups capacity. The purposes of this study are as follows. First, it is to develop a program to cultivate entrepreneurship required for challenging spirit and well-rounded personality on the youth’s development stage. Secondly, one of the purposes is to develop experiential⦁practical programs for application of effective methods for the youth, to utilize this program for non-subject education like club activity and free semester system, and to provide manuals which are necessary for relevant organizations like youth organizations. ‘Venture Star’is grounded on a basic concept of young entrepreneur spirit. With principles of experiential learning, cooperative learning, and problem-based learning, it consists of a basis of understanding about chance, resource, and team which are core items for entrepreneurial course. In addition, reflected by characteristics of successful entrepreneurs as role models, self-mentoring and community mentoring are composition principles of this program. This program has a difference in that it has an emphasis on developing the youth’s capacity to lead their lives and their challenge spirit to solve their problems for themselves and overcome difficulties, taking a break from formal entrepreneurship education related with economic education and practical business startups.
