The purpose of this study is to present, after consultation with professionals, derive ethical elements necessary for youth worker. In order toachieve this goal, We have selected core values by referring to domestic and international codes of ethics. To derive the validity of each element of youth experts, we obtained the agreement of 30 Delphi experts by repeating the Delphi method twice. Through this process, a total of 4 ethical areas and 42 sub-items were presented. Four ethical domains were identified as 'ethics on youth', 'ethics on self', 'ethics on a job' and 'acceptance of social norms'. As for the relevant area with youth, there was a high level of relevance in order of“respect”, “autonomous decision making”,“prohibition of discrimination,”and“confidentiality guarantee,”and in terms of the youth advisor area, a high level of relevance was shown in order of “gender boundaries”,“expertise”,“confidentiality guarantee,”and “self-management”. As to the job expertise area, the outcomes was shown in order of“responsibility”,“integrity,” and “transparency” and regarding the area for the acceptability of social norms,“household”,“region,”and “society”.
The significance of this study lies in the foundation of the code of ethics by systematizing the ethical elements needed for the youth workers.
