ABSTRACT

This study aimed firstly to analyse the policies and strategies of the 4th Industrial Revolution in the countries which are actively preparing the Revolution as a national policies in particular European Union and Germany. Research questions were firstly, what are the main contents and the importances in the 4th Industrial Revolution policies and secondly, how youth policy in Korea can be reshaved and designed for the new era. This research found that European Union has provided ‘A renewed EU Industrial Policy Strategy’ and Industry 4.0 for the rebuilding of the European communities. Germany is the first country which has prepared for the 4th Industrial Revolution with High-Tech Strategy and Industry 4.0. However, South Korea has been less interested in the developing the strategies for the 4th Industrial Revolution in comparison with EU and Germany. Therefore youth policy in South Korea has to prepare young people for the 4th Industrial Revolution with the traditional values and virtues such as belongingness, living in harmony, co-operation with others, rights and responsibilities in the 4th Industrial Revolution era.
