ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of self-efficacy on job awareness of disabled youth and to verify the mediating role of interpersonal competence in these relationships to prepare a plan to raise the awareness of employment of disabled youth. The data used in this study were analyzed by the disabled youth among the data of the 2-wave second survey (2017) conducted by the Employment Development Institute of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. The results of the study showed that self-efficacy and interpersonal competence had a positive (+) relationship with job recognition, and interpersonal competence had a complete mediating effect on the relationship between self-efficacy and job recognition.Therefore, it is meaningful that interpersonal competence is an important factor in raising the awareness of employment of disabled youths and that it provides basic data to researchers who are interested in employment awareness.
