Background and Purpose: This study aims to find out the experience of female high school students who participated in the ‘Focusing-Oriented Career Exploration Program (FOCEP)’. Based on the results, the researchers intends to enhance the quality of ‘FOCEP’ for female high school students in the future. Methodology: Among those who participated in the FOCEP, 8 people who completed all the process were interviewed with a questionnaire. The transcript of the post-interview is analyzed by Giorgi's descriptive phenomenological method. Findings: As a result, 3 components, 6 sub-components, and 23 semantic units were derived. The central topics consisted of three areas: ‘understanding oneself and others’, ‘compromising oneself and career path’, and ‘securing specific career directions’. The following are the results of the study. First, the overall experience of female high school students who participated in the FOCEP was positive in career exploration. Second, ‘focusing mind map work’, ‘focusing drawing’, and ‘focusing photo work’ helped participants to explore their careers in the desired direction. Third, participants were able to cultivate their ability to deal with their career barriers. Overall the participants’ perception of their career barriers changed. Conclusions: First, the FOCEP experience of female high school students was generally positive. Second, ‘focusing mind map work’, ‘focusing drawing’, and ‘focusing photo work’ helped participants explore their desired career directions. Third, participants were able to develop one’s ability to deal with career barriers after participating in the FOCEP.
